VOLES
Varsity Oxbridge Light Entertainment Society - taking the
theatre to those who cannot otherwise see it, in locations where we fancy
going on holiday. For this we team up with
CULES
- our Cambridge sisters - bring out the OULES frying pan and set
off. So far we've visited Warwickshire in a canal barge, stayed in
a Guide camp complex in the New Forest, and invaded Kate's beautiful, peaceful
south Wales. We have one week to rehearse, perform and celebrate a
play, and consequently seem to know our lines far better than we ever do in
term time...
As of this year, we end on an award ceremony, Mosscars. It's like
the Flosscars, only without the sensible number of categories, sober anonymous
voting, classy black tie or lovingly created actual awards. What you
do get is an opportunity to laugh about all the things that have happened
over the past week and imbibe the odd gin and tonic.
